Just opened this blog account and made it pretty to my standards, so I figured I may as well post something. Just a simple hello.
I think I started this blog because mainly I want it for the trip I am planning to go on with my younger brother next summer. Haven't come up with a cool name for it yet, so as of now I will refer to it as "Europe Trip 2010." We're thinking of going in July, or right after he graduates from high school for about a month. Hopefully, this is enough time to spend 3-4 days in each of the countries we intend to visit. Right now the list is England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain and Italy. Personally, I would also like to hit Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium and Austria, but that might be pushing it for a month.
We're going to be backpacking or at least traveling extremely light. This trip is not for relaxation, mind you, as we will most likely have no food, no money, and no rest. Luckily, to us that seems like an adventure. I just want to go wherever we want and really experience the places we go. I want to sit in a pub with my brother and hand him his first glass of Guinness in Dublin. I want my brother to experience a bit of independence and new perspective before he goes off to college.
So I'm doing my research early so we can do this right. And trying to see if I can save up the money needed for this trip, plus some in case we decided to do a lot more.
First things first, I need a job.
